MEET SHANE

For as long as I can remember, I've loved pretty much all forms of multimedia. As a kid I watched YouTube all the time, enough that I wanted to create my own videos. I used to record on a 480p camera held up by a pile of books acting as a tripod, I would record myself playing games, the quality was horrible, but it got me hooked on filming early on.

As I grew older, I learned more about graphic cards and simple editing platforms like iMovie. This led to me creating tons of videos playing Call of Duty, and I shortly started becoming more familiar with editing software's, the recording process, and how to build a presence online. 

​

When I got to high school, I enrolled in Multimedia 1, which was an introduction to Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and working with cameras. I already had a bit of knowledge with cameras, but this was my first time being able to work with high quality cameras and even studio equipment. I was hooked immediately and started creating a variety of short films. 

​

I also found an early passion in the first game development class that I took, leading me to enrolling in a summer class 45 minutes away. I had just gotten my driver's license and talked my parents into letting me make the drive twice a week. I was introduced to Unity, Maya, and Game Maker Studio. This class also sparked a passion in game development, which seemed perfect for me, as someone who's grown up his entire life playing games, it only seemed natural to start making them.

Since then I have stumbled into other passions like web development and working with datasets. I even got an Internship with a website development company after my junior year of college. The summer zoomed by and I was offered a part-time position with the company while I finished my schooling.

That brings me to today, where my passions include video production, creating visualizations for datasets, video game development, website development, and social media. Some of my skills include Premiere Pro, Final Cut, After Effects, Photoshop, Unity, SQL, Tableau, Java, CSS, and HTML. I am a fast learner and I'm always looking for the next challenge.
